Audio

Countless audio recordings were made of Ferenc Nagy: these are mainly interviews, political speeches, radio announcements, and conversations. His personal estate also contains several such cassettes and mini-cassettes. During his emigration, he gave fifty-four lectures at fifty American universities to an audience of approximately twenty-five thousand students. He spoke about the 1956 revolution, Soviet-Chinese relations, and the Peace Corps, which was of interest to the university audience, and he also spoke about communism itself. Our research group aims to collect these lectures, some of which have already been digitized.

The lecture of Ferenc Nagy on "Communism and the world revolution" held on 11 November 1968 at Portland State University (Oregon, USA). He spoke about the political consequences of the Prague Spring to university students. Portland State Library Special Collections: Oregon Public Speakers. 59.
