Photos

The photos collected by the Research Group come from various church, state, and private collections, archives, and publications. The Research Group coordinates their use for research purposes.

In addition to the personal photo collection (ranging from family photos to press photos and postcards), which can be considered a curiosity, most of the photos published in domestic and foreign (mainly American) newspapers and magazines have already been digitized. Of particular interest are the photos depicting the family life of Ferenc Nagy, which provide insight into the everyday life of the former smallholder prime minister at home.

Despite his early, forced resignation from the post of prime minister, a great many photos were taken of him, as he was a highly prestigious figure in exile and was very active in diplomacy and organizational activities.
